Chances Seized

If I’ve learned nothing else in this sometimes crazy life of mine, the one thing I have gained knowledge of is that God gives us many opportunities, blessed chances—the chance to have our lives redeemed, the chance to follow Him, the chance to be fulfilled through Him. This blog is about how seizing these chances affects my life and to encourage others to seize the chance.

Roles of Midwives in Society

Today is the first of my four-part series on the role of midwives in society. A few people who have read Lady in the Mist seemed to be expecting a treatis on midwifery. Well, no. My speciality when working on my MS in history of Science and Technology at Virginia Tech was the role of midwives in society, not midwifery. The title of my paper I delivered at a history conference in 1999 was Women of Power.

These blog posts are redacted from that paper.
